OUR CLASSES

LEARNING CENTER

Butterflies (infants). Your baby will be cuddled, played with, sang to, and read to throughout the day.  Our teachers meet all of their diaper, sleeping, and bottle needs to ensure a happy baby.  Everyday your baby's teachers will provide you with a report on your child's activities, attitudes, what he or she ate, how they slept, their diapering schedule, supplies needed, and information on "special moments" of the day.

Wiggle worms (toddlers).
Your toddler will thrive while enjoying toys, stories, music, games, building with blocks, and more.  All activities are designed to develop language growth, provide opportunities for associative learning, and present challenges for color recognition, listening skills, and social development.  Your energetic toddler will experience art, creative movement, and drama for building confidence while discovering the world around him or her.  Everyday your toddlers teachers will provide you  with a report on your child's activities, attitudes, what he or she ate and how much, how they slept, their diapering schedule, supplies needed, and information on "special moments" of the day. Potty training is an important milestone for your child.  It allows your child to show independence, confidence and the old "I DID IT" smile.  At CLC potty training WILL NOT begin until your child is physically ready, over the age of 18 months, and the parents and staff agrees that it is "time.”

Busy bees (toddlers).
These busy 2 year olds are testing their independence.  A healthy balance in this class is achieved through interactive play, arts and crafts, and short-term learning concepts. Life skills such as sharing, manners, and helping to clean-up up are practiced daily. Picnics outside on our playground with extra playtime and water splash-play with our science tables are all part of their physical activities. Daily reports and artwork is kept in individual folders for parents to pick up at the end of each day.

Fireflies (preschool). Our 3 year olds are learning that socializing, sharing, and taking turns are all part of their daily experience.  Their curriculum is based upon language, activity, and movement.  Story time involves drama and action.  This age group is encouraged to notice, identify, and participate in their learning experiences.

Crickets (preschool). The 4 year olds are full of energy and curiosity.  As their imaginations are working overtime, they are learning about detail and anticipating outcomes.  The curriculum for these children incorporates goal-setting activities, group discussion, and collaboration with peers.  While working on responsibility and impulse control, we prepare your four-year-olds for kindergarten.

Grasshoppers (preschool).
Our 5 year olds are on the go.  Many are attending kindergarten at public or private schools with the latter part of their day spent at CLC.  While at CLC we continue their learning process by engaging them in comparisons, estimations, and problem solving.  We provide an A+ curriculum in order to enhance their kindergarten experience.
